The An-Najah National University mourns with great sadness the death of Prof. Bahjat Sabri, we extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Bahjat Sabri`s family, and we share our profound sense of loss with the large community that loved him.

Prof. Bahjat Sabri was born in Qalqilia in 1943; he obtained the BA in History from the University of Ain Shams in Cairo/Egypt, and then the Master and the Doctoral Degree in Modern Arab History from the same university.

In 1979-1983, he became the Head of the History Department at An-Najah National University, in 1983-1984 he became the Vice President for Academic Affairs, in 1979-1985 he worked as an Assistant Professor of History, in 1984-1986 Vice President for Administrative Affairs, in 1986-1989 The Acting President of An-Najah National University, in 1985-1991 Associate Professor of History, in 1991-1993 The President of An-Najah National University, in 1994-1999 Vice President for Administrative Affairs, 1999 – 2002 Coordinator For Scientific Centers, from 2000 till he passed away he was the President Assistant and Professor of History.

He has several researches published in Academic Journals and Published Research Monographs and Textbooks.
