It was with a great sense of loss and sadness when we at An-Najah National University in Nablus heard of Mahmoud Darwish death, our great national poet.  Darwish eloquently expressed the dream of our Palestinian statehood and helped forge our Palestinian national identity.  He will always remain within our hearts and our sincere thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
