An-Najah National University will be hosting a team of experts from the Institutional Evaluation Programme (IEP) under the European Universities Association (EUA), who will assess and evaluate the University's achievements and accomplishments since the previous evaluation in 2011.

The IEP will carry out a comprehensive and integrated review of University activities on the administrative and academic level, as well as in scientific research and community service. This process will continue over the course of 4 days, during which the visiting team will meet with the relevant parties inside and outside the University based on a previously prepared agenda. Later this year, the IEP will present an inclusive report of the evaluation results that will be available online.

Dr Allam Mousa, Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality Assurance, said that the University voluntarily participates in this Programme for the second time and that this participation aims at achieving the University visions and missions, enhancing its international ranking in quality of education, scientific research and community service, in accordance with the accredited international standards and references.

Notes:

-          An-Najah National University is the only local University participating in this Programme, and is one of the few Arab universities as well.

-          The team of experts includes 4 European experts who have occupied prestigious positions as university rectors and have distinct and quality competencies and expertise.

-          The Institutional Evaluation Programme (IEP) is an independent membership service of the European University Association (EUA). IEP is a full member of ENQA (the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and is listed in EQAR (the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education).
IEP has provided external institutional evaluation services to higher education institutions in the context of their own aims and profiles since 1994. To date, IEP evaluation teams have carried out around 300 evaluations and follow-up evaluations of diverse higher education institutions in 45 countries worldwide. On request of local stakeholders in higher education (ministries, national rectors’ conferences, NGOs), IEP also conducts coordinated evaluations at the national or regional level.
