On Monday 3 February 2014 the University hosted the closing photography exhibit entitled “Palestinian Captions”. The 42 photos taken by 7 Palestinian photographers and 5 European photographers illustrated the daily life in Palestine and for Palestinians.

Visitors to the exhibit were treated to photos charting the diverse life in Palestine, from villages, to refugee camps, to religious sites. Through the pictures the visitors were shown the range of emotions felt by Palestinians in their everyday life and looking towards the future, from joy and hope to fear and uncertainty.

Mrs. Abu Sharbeh, Coordinator of the project, said:

I thank An-Najah University and everyone who contributed to the success of the exhibition. The project was initiation by the European Union within the umbrella of the project: “Photo Marathon for Palestinian and European Photographers”. A project which aims to strengthen cultural cooperation with the EU and the Palestinian people. The exhibition is holding its final session today at An-Najah University, after having exhibited at Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre in Ramallah and the University of Bethlehem.
