On Thursday 10 April An-Najah National University Hospital and King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) setting out protocols for areas of mutual cooperation. The MoU was signed by Dr. Hikmat Abdulrazeq, Medical Director representing the KHCC, and Dr. Hani Nabulsi, Member of the Hospital Board of Trustees.

Upon signing of the MoU, Dr. Nabulsi addressed the Jordanian delegates welcoming them and appreciating their visit. He went on to stress the strong bonds between Jordan and Palestine, and that this MoU will pave the way for the Hospital to increase its medical and scientific knowledge base.

In turn, Dr. Abdulrazeq expressed his pride at the high medical rank An-Najah Hospital and the University have reached over the years, indicating that the Hospital’s unique cadre is capable of “making miracles come true” with their pioneering work and services. He further said that Jordan and Palestine have a special relationship and that they are always open to constructive mutual cooperation.

Dr. Riyad Amer, the Hospital General Director, handed a plaque to the KHCC delegates, in appreciation of their efforts. He noted that the MoU will allow the Hospital to dispatch training cadres to Jordan to further advance the medical capacity and develop the Surgery Department, particularly in areas such as bone tumour surgeries.
