An-Najah Grants an MA Degree in Private Law
The Faculty of Graduate Studies at An-Najah National University recommended granting an MA Degree in Private Law for Mr. Saed Hamdallah on his thesis "Discontinuation of Argument in a Civil Lawsuit: A Comparison Study."
The researcher, in his thesis, handled the subject of discontinuation of argument in civil lawsuit, where he handled the Palestinian Civil and Commercial Trials Assets Law No. 2/2001. The researcher reached out the results that the reasons of discontinuation of argument is the death of one of the attendants in the lawsuit, the termination of legal competence for argument, and the name of its representatives.
The researcher also reached to the result that the lawsuit is not set up for arbitration in its subject, so the discontinuation happens. The committee who supervised the thesis recommended granting the researcher an MA Degree. The committe consisted of Dr. Akram Daoud, head and supervisor, Dr. Bashar Daraghmeh, as an external examiner from the American Arab University in Jenin, Dr. Amjad Hassan as an internal examiner, and Dr. Hussein Mashaqi as an internal examiner.
