An-Najah Faculty of Fine Arts Participates in the Third Annual Conference of Fine Arts Faculties in the Arab World
The Faculty of Fine Arts from An-Najah University participated in the Third Annual Conference of the Arab World Association of Fine Arts Faculties at the University of Halwan in Cairo. The Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and President of Halwan University, Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, opened the conference. More than 34 deans from faculties of fine arts across the Arab world attended the conference.
Dr. Hasan Na’erat, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, represented An-Najah at the conference and presented a paper entitled, “The Role of Fine Arts Faculties in Civil Society Service Via Extra-Curricular Activities.” Dr. Na’erat’s paper discussed examples of service to the local community through looking at the work of An-Najah Faculty of Fine Arts students.
The second day of conference proceedings concluded with a number of conference summary points and recommendations. Additionally, voting was held for the Executive Committee of the Arab World Association of Fine Arts Faculties. Dr. Na’erat was one of five conference attendees selected for the Executive Committee.
The next conference is scheduled to be held in Khartoum, Sudan.
