An-Najah is always seeking to employ the latest educational tools, working to develop its teaching methods and to provide all the modern technologies students need. And so An-Najah has taken the initiative to implement Google techniques to provide email services for its 20,000 students. This step should make communication better and easier between the students, the instructors, and other local and international scientific institutions.

This step was due to the efforts of An-Najah’s Google Developers Group (GDG) represented by Engineer Akram Dweikat, An-Najah Computer Engineering alumnus and founder of the club, and Dr. Samer Arandi, Head of the Computer Engineering Department and club Supervisor, and in cooperation with the University’s Computer Centre.

It is a significant step as it creates a strong relationship between An-Najah and Google, providing students with the most up-to-date technologies in the field of education.

An-Najah’s GDG Club is currently working to make the most of the applications provided by Google to support the students and instructors in the educational process, such as vast cloud storage space for students to share their school files and research projects.

Notes:

GDG Nablus is a developers group to learn and share knowledge about technology, with a particular emphasis on Google technologies. The group was started by a group of Google fans and enthusiasts who are interested in using Google's evolving technologies. GDG Nablus aims to introduce the Palestinian people to new technologies, increase awareness and create a large community interested in Google technologies.
