On Thursday, April 23, 2015, An-Najah and Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology accomplished remarkable achievement at the environmental projects' exhibition. An-Najah marked the first and the ninth places out of the top ten projects while Hijjawi College marked the second, the sixth and the eighth places.

The first place was occupied by Ruzine Abu Tayoun and Hana' Jaradaneh, students from the Department of Media and Journalism at An-Najah. Their project was a recycling station of solid waste. The second place was occupied by Belal Qalalweh, and his project was on reusing car wheels. Ahmed Thabit, Majd Shanaa and Adnan Boubli, students at Hisham Hijjawi, occupied the sixth place. Their project was a fun game that gave pieces of advice on protecting the environment and public health. The eighth place was occupied by Mariam Hamarsheh whose project concentrated on people's attitude towards the environment when put under the candid camera. Finally, the ninth place was occupied by Ahmed Al-Shatir, student at An-Najah, whose project aims at encouraging people to be more involved in voluntary work and protecting the Palestinian environment.

-      The exhibition was held at the Palestinian Red Cross Society in Ramallah, sponsored by the Palestinian Environmental Education Center and funded by the American Consulate, Jerusalem.

-      The evaluating committee consisted of Eng. Mohammad Atrash, Head of Students Affair and Mr. Wsef Qadah from the Department of Applied Artsat Hisham atHijjawi as well as representatives of the Palestinian Environmental Center, the American Consulate and the universities participating in the exhibition.

-      The winners were honored at a celebration attended by the American Consulate-Jerusalem, Dr. Mahmoud Khalefa, Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Media and Eng. Adala Attereh, Head of the Palestinian Environment Quality Authority.
