On Tuesday, March 31st An Najah's American Corner hosted two American educators, Mr Tim Perkins, a science teacher, and Ms Melany Perkins, a musician and teacher.

Mr and Mrs Perkins conducted two workshops, the first was for a group of An Najah students and faculty in the science department and the second by local science teachers from across the Nablus Governate.  The program included an energetic and captivating approach to teaching science that engages the learner and relates different scientific laws and information to the human experience. 

Tim and Melany were given a tour of the science faculty and also had the opportunity to visit the American Corner Nablus and meet students.

Notable guests included Mr Jerome Sherman and Ms Dana Rassas of the US Consulate in Jerusalem, An Najah's Dean of Science, Dr Sabri Naser, Dr Salwa Khalaf, and the Nablus Director of Education, Dr Mohammad Awad.

Tim and Melany Perkins own a hands-on children’s science laboratory, a school that provides affordable musical training, have produced three original albums of “smart” music for children and conduct science and music classes and summer camps for children of all abilities.
