American Corner Nablus Holds a Social Celebration for Eid Al-Adha
On Monday, September 21, 2015, the International Office’s American Corner Nablus at An-Najah held a social ceremony to celebrate Eid Al-Adha at the IT Korean Institute Hall.
The ceremony aimed at sharing the joy of Eid with UNRWA school students from Askar refugee camp, a number of orphans from a local orphanage and a number of patient children from An-Najah Hospital.
The ceremony included reciting a lyric and a poem by students from the school in addition to giveaways to the attending children.
Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs at An-Najah gave thanks to the American Consulate for holding events such as this and the schools’ summer camps which aim at enhancing the students’ English speaking and critical thinking skills.
The ceremony was also attended by Ms Stacy Ibrahim, Director of American Spaces at the U.S Consulate General Jerusalem and Ms Lina Kurdi from An-Najah Hospital.
