His Excellency Mr. Yang Wei Guo, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Palestinian National Authority, visited the University today and met President Rami Hamdallah.  This was the first visit to the University by a Chinese Ambassador to the Palestinian Authority. Ambassador Wei Guo said that he highly appreciates An-Najah's efforts in developing relations with Chinese academic institutions.President Hamdallah warmly welcomed the Chinese Ambassador and wished the visit could give His Excellency more ideas about the University and further cooperation between An-Najah and Chinese universities.  President Hamdallah said An-Najah hopes to develop closer contacts and cooperation with the Representative Office of China to  Palestinian Authority thus making more contributions to the mutual educational exchange between China and Palestine.
Ambassador Wei Guo presented a donation of books on China to the University.  The Chinese Ambassador said he was very pleased to donate the Chinese books to An-Najah on behalf of the Chinese government, and President Hamdallah expressed the hope that the donation would be of help in promoting cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries.
