As part of its programs that aim to serve the local society in the different cultural and art fields, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University organized, on March 28^th 2010, a workshop for children from Yafa Culture Center in Nablus. The workshop was held in cooperation with the British Council and the Young Artists Forum in the city.

Dr. Hasan N'erat, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, welcomed the children and presented a summary of the Faculty's programs and the events it organizes in support of the Palestinian people. He also thanked the British Council for their cooperation and support of the workshop and their continuous participation in activities that contribute to the welfare of the society.

During their visit, the children were introduced to the different art works that are displayed at the current paintings exhibition at the Faculty.

In the Workshop, the children participated in a painting session where they made a number of paintings that reflected their feelings. Dr. Ahmed Al-Hajj Hamad, instructor at the Faculty, said he was impressed by the ideas that the paintings included and the techniques that the children employed.
