A Series of Training Courses for the Employees of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company were Successfully Concluded at the University
September 26th. Under the auspices of An-Najah University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, the Korean Palestinian It Institute of Excellence (KPITIE) at the University organized a graduation ceremony celebrating the successful graduation of a group of employees of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCO) in Palestine from a series of training courses that covered different subjects such as web design, secretarial, automatic analysis and economic feasibility.
Attendees to the ceremony included: Engineer Yahya Arafat, Chairman of the Board of Directors at NEDCO, Engineer Salam Al-Zagha, General Manager at NEDCO, Engineer Khaled Barham, Director of the KPITIE, Dr. Mohammad Hanoon, Vice President for Community Affairs at An-Najah, Dr. Sam Alfoqahaa, Director of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah, Mr. Asem Hanbali, Director of the Human Resources Department, in addition to a number of An-Najah and NEDCO employees.
At the beginning of the ceremony Engineer Barham delivered a speech in which he stressed the University’s commitment and concern with strengthening its relationships with the different Palestinian institutions and said that the University’s different training centers are always open for employees. He also thanked NEDCO’s administration for its interest in having its employees trained at An-Najah which would give them more knowledge and acquire new skills.
Engineer Arafat thanked the University for its continuous efforts to serve the Palestinian society and took the chance to congratulate Prof. Hamdallah on the unique achievements the University has made over the last years. Furthermore, he informed that NEDCO has promised its clients to start providing them with constant electric current with a reasonable price that is affordable by all Palestinians. He added that An-Najah was the first Palestinian institution to offer help and support to NEDCO and that over 90% of its employees are originally An-Najah graduates.
At the conclusion of the ceremony Prof. Hamdallah, Engineer Arafat, Dr. Hanoon, Engineer Al-Zagha and Engineer Barham presented the certificates to the trainees.
