The Department of Sociology and Social Work at An-Najah University organized a seminar titled “The Arab Spring and its Social and Political Implications”. The meeting was administered by Mr. Hani Al-Masri, Author and Political Analyst, and Mr. Mustafa Al-Shunnar, Lecturer at the Department of Sociology.

Attendees to the seminar included: Professor Jawad Fatayer, President Assistant for Graduate Affairs at An-Najah, Dr. Maher Abu Zant, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Mr. As’ad Taffal, Head of the Sociology and Social Service Department, in addition to students and others.

Mr. Al-Masri and Mr. Al-Shunnar spoke about the Arab Spring (The Arab Revolutions) that are taking place in the Arab countries. They also explained the social and political changes that started to appear on the Arab scene. In addition, they discussed the impacts of these revolutions on the Palestinian case and other issues in the area.
