The Office of Scholarships at An-Najah University organized a presentation about the scholarships offered by the University of Paris-Sud in France at the Conferences Room, Old Campus Library. Attendees included 50 students and members of the administrative and academic staff. The presentation was delivered by Professor Elena Ceccarelli, Vice President for International Affairs at Paris-Sud University.

At the beginning of her presentation, Professor Ceccarelli welcomed the students and attendants and thanked them for their interest in the topic. After that she spoke about the University of Paris-Sud and its establishment in 1970, in addition to the location of the University which is to the south of Paris.  She also said that the University is ranked 40 internationally and number one in France according to Shanghaï World Universities Ranking. Paris-Sud University includes more than 28,000 students and more than 2500 researchers; it is also home to a variety of study programs in different fields such as science, sport, pharmacy, medicine, law, economy, administration, technology and engineering.

Furthermore, Professor Ceccarelli explained the requirements that applicants must meet in order to be qualified to study at Paris-Sud whether for a Master or PhD, as well as the documents needed.

At the end of the meeting, a discussion was raised between the attendants and Professor Ceccarelli about the topic. Professor Ceccarelli’s visit also included meeting with An-Najah President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, An-Najah President Assistant for Strategic and International Affairs, and Prof. Maher Abu Eid, An-Najah Vice President for Academic Affairs.
