A guitar and violin concert featuring Gaelle and Marina Chiche was organized at the University by the French Culture Center. Hundreds attended the event, the goal of which was to encourage the interaction of Palestinians with French artists. The audience enjoyed the aesthetic melodies of Gaelle and Marina Chiche.
Gaelle was born in Marseilles in 1978 and at the age of six she had already begun to play music at the National Institute. She finished her music studies at the age of 14 and was awarded the Golden Prize on two occasions. She then attended the National Music Institute in Paris and was awarded First Prize in Harp.
Marina was born in Marseilles in 1981, and began playing the violin at the age of three. She studied with the C.N.R. of Marseilles then entered what was first named the C.N.S.M. of Paris, at the age of 16. There she was awarded the First Prize in Violin and the D.F.S. She followed these studies with courses in Vienna, at Boris Kuchnir, and currently studies in Paris under the council of Pierre-Laurent Aimard where she is mastering chamber music. She has been awarded several national and international prizes. In 2003 she was awarded “Traditional Revelation 2003” by the ADAMI, and also in 2004 “Revelation of the Year” by the Victories of Classical Music. Marina has performed concerts in both Europe and Russia with a full orchestra, and in recitals similar to chamber music.
Both Gaelle and Marina have been invited to many international festivals. Their most recent concerts were the ones they organized in Palestinian cities, including Nablus.
