On April 15^th 2010, a delegation from the Palestinian Standards Institution (PSI) visited the University and met with the President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah. The delegation consisted of Dr. Hazem Shunnar, General Director of PSI, Engineer Jamal Sawalha, Director of the National Measurement Directorate, Engineer Abeer Abu Hijleh, Director of PSI's North Office, Dr. Muhammad Al-Aamleh, Legal Consultant and others.

Dr. Jalal Dabeek, General Coordinator of the Scientific Centers at the University, Dr. Khaled Al-Sahli, Director of the Construction and Transportation Research Center, Dr. Bilal Salameh, Director of the Community Service Center, and Engineer Ra'fat Kittaneh, Director of the Calibration Unit at the University also attended the meeting.

The President expressed the University's willingness to maintain and further develop its relationships with PSI and to reinforce partnership between the Institution and the scientific centers at the University. The visit aimed to focus on the important role the University plays in supporting the PSI with experiences and competencies.

The participants agreed to work collaboratively in order to increase the quality of the services that the PSI offers to the Palestinian society. They also agreed to dedicate the University's studies and research to help meet the needs of the Institution, which will in turn provide the society with the best services.

Additionally, a number of issues were discussed such as the activities that have been carried out recently, cooperation in the field of calibration, and conducting joint projects and programs in the future.
