An-Najah National University, a pioneer in fostering global academic partnerships, warmly welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Embassy of Switzerland in Palestine on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023. The delegation, led by Her Excellency Anne-Lise Cattin Hennin, Representative of Switzerland in Palestine, included Ms. Jumana Daibes, Media and Communication Officer at the embassy. The University's leadership was represented by Dr. Kherieh Rassas, Vice President for International and External Affairs, alongside Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Khayyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Miss Summer Abu Mughli, International Relations Coordinator.


During the visit, Dr. Rassas extended a warm welcome to the distinguished delegation, providing them with valuable insights into the institution's rich history, its diverse range of academic programs and specialized fields of study, and its overarching mission of nurturing students to become well-rounded, competitive individuals in local, regional, and global markets.

Dr. Rassas emphasized, "An-Najah National University has cultivated strong relationships with universities within the European Union and numerous international academic and research institutions. Recently, the University has been actively reinforcing these collaborative bonds, culminating in agreements across various intellectual, cultural, and scientific domains. Furthermore, we are committed to our strategy of offering international professional training opportunities to our students in esteemed global institutions and companies. This approach aims to empower them with practical experience in real work environments through comprehensive field training."

Ambassador Henin expressed her delight at the opportunity to visit An-Najah University, commending the remarkable development and outstanding academic achievements the institution has attained, both in Palestine and on the international stage. She expressed her eagerness to collaborate closely with the University, highlighting its significance as the first Palestinian university. Ambassador Henin expressed her optimistic outlook, hoping that this visit would mark the initiation of a substantial, high-quality partnership and distinguished academic cooperation between An-Najah National University and Swiss universities and institutions.
