On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, An-Najah National University hosted a delegation of 55 international solidarity activists representing various European countries, Canada, and the United States. The visit aimed to foster cultural exchange, strengthen international communication, and shed light on the challenges confronting higher education in Palestine.


The delegation began their tour at the New Campus, where they were introduced to the university’s faculties, departments, and scientific centers. University representatives provided a detailed briefing on the political and economic challenges impacting higher education in Palestine, offering the visitors a deeper understanding of the region's context.

The delegation was welcomed by a number of the university representatives and students who engaged with the guests to showcase daily life at An-Najah and in the surrounding community.

As part of the visit, the delegation participated in discussion groups that explored critical topics, including the socio-economic challenges facing Palestinian society and the impact of the occupation on students’ lives and aspirations. These discussions provided the visitors with firsthand insights into the students' determination to pursue education and their hopes for a brighter future despite ongoing adversities.

Delegation members expressed admiration for the university's academic and research achievements and praised the resilience of its students. They emphasized the vital role of education in driving positive change and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in overcoming challenges.

This visit underscores An-Najah National University's commitment to promoting cultural and international understanding. By facilitating direct engagement with international communities, the university continues to spotlight the Palestinian reality and the enduring importance of education as a pathway to empowerment and resilience.
