During his presentation, Mr. Al-Debiy highlighted the challenges faced by the educational sector in Palestine amid the ongoing war and occupation. He detailed the impact of increasing occupation barriers, settler violence, and harsh living conditions on students and academics. Furthermore, he showcased An-Najah National University's efforts to mitigate educational wastage in Gaza through an initiative in collaboration with the UNIMED – Mediterranean Universities Union, aimed at supporting students from diverse specializations and faculties.

In addition to his presentation, Mr. Al-Debiy held a meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Spain, Mr. Hosni Abdel Wahed, where they discussed the university's various specializations and its role in promoting sustainable development. On the sidelines of the conference, Mr. Al-Debiy also engaged in a discussion with Prof. Luz Gómez, Head of the Department of Arab and Islamic Studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid, exploring opportunities for joint research and academic collaboration.
