A Delegation from Palestinian Ministry of Interior Visits An-Najah
On Monday November 28, 2022, Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of the University received a delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of Interior headed by Mr. Youssef Harb, Deputy Minister of Interior and Head of the European Union Migration Program in Palestine.
The visit aimed at discussing possible areas of mutual cooperation between the two parties. The delegation was received by Mr. Raed Debiy, President's Assistant for Community Affairs, Prof. Walid Sweileh, Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies, Dr. Dr. Ra'fat Jallad, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, and Dr. Assad Tafal, Head of the Department of Social Work and Coordinator of the Migration and Refugee Studies MA Program.
Prof. Zaid welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of the cooperation An-Najah has with the local community’s institutions and ministries in Palestine. Additionally, he briefed the delegation on An-Najah’s mission, strategic plans, international rankings and other academic achievements
Furthermore, Prof Zaid talked about the objectives of the University’s Migration and Refugee Studies MA program, and noted that the program is consistent with the national strategy of education in Palestine.
Mr. Harb in turn commended An-Najah's efforts in serving the Palestinian society. He also stressed the importance of the cooperation with An-Najah in terms of implementing joint activities with the aim of advancing the professional skills of the Migration and Refugee Studies MA program’s students.
Additionally, both parties referred to the importance of strengthening the strategic and structured cooperation between them through organizing joint workshops, conferences and training courses for the University students to put theory into practice and achieve their full potential, both personally and professionally.
