An-Najah Launches Blood Donation Campaign
The Deanship of Student Affairs, the Federation of Medical Students' Associations (FMSA), and the Community Service Center at An Najah National University, organized a blood donation campaign titled “Your Blood is The Change” for university students. The campaign is sponsored by An Najah National University Hospital (NNUH) in cooperation with the Palestinian ACCESS Alumni Network at Amideast.
The two-day campaign was held at the Korean Palestinian IT Institute of Excellence. It aimed to raise awareness of the need for regular blood donations to ensure that all individuals and communities have access to affordable and timely supplies of safe and quality-assured blood as a key component of effective health systems.
The campaign’s idea focused on the contribution an individual giver can make to improve health for others in the community. Through the campaign, the University students were called on to become life-savers by volunteering to donate blood regularly since the blood donations will benefit NNUH’s patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer.
As part of the campaign, several brochures and posters were disseminated by FMSA students among the University’s staff and students to increase their awareness of blood donation.
