An-Najah Signs an MOU with the Palestinian Youth Association for Leadership and Rights Activation
On Monday, September 13, 2021, An-Najah National University signed an MOU with the Palestinian Youth Association for Leadership and Rights Activation (PYALARA) to promote collaboration, training courses, staff exchanges and learning on rights and duties of journalists, media law and ethics, and the role of social media in societal change.
The cooperation contract was signed by Dr. Abdulsalam Alkaiyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University and Ms. Naila Hedaya, General Manager of "Tawasul" project and personnel manager at PYALARA.
The MOU seeks to coordinate the efforts between the University and PYALARA to effectively reinforce sustainable partnership between the two parties through empowering the voices, abilities, and talents of media students at An-Najah within "Tawasul 2" project, funded by the German Bread for the World Foundation in cooperation with the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate and a number of Palestinian universities.
It also seeks to set effective coordination mechanisms between the two institutions to promote expertise exchange and joint program training programs and activities within the framework of "Tawasul" project in the fields of training and development.
The signing ceremony was attented by Mr. Yanal Al-Nabali, Coordinator of "Tawasul" project in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Ms. Yafa Najajrah, Assistant Project Coordinator, Dr. Farid Abu Dhair and Ms. Dalal Radwan from the University's Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.
