On Tuesday, 15 June, 2021, the Business Innovation & Technology Hub (NGate) at An-Najah National University, represented by Mr. Rasem Suwan, Director of NGate, participated in the first meeting of MARSAD project, which was held at Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology at the University.


The meeting was opened by Mr. Zubeidi Hamayel, GIZ Project Coordinator. He said that MARSAD project aims to prepare studies related to the Palestinian labor market and analyze their data with the aim of formulating policies that are responsive to the needs of Nablus Governorate.

The meeting identified the project's main themes in the coming period, most important of which is (work-from-home jobs for women and freelancing females).

It is worth mentioning that MARSAD project on the Palestinian labor market in Nablus governorate is implemented by The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

A group of members have been selected to work within the project team (Marsad): Mr. Rasim Sawan, Director of NGate from An-Najah National University, Mr. Alaa Darwish from Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology, Ms. Walaa Shahrouri from Nablus Secondary Industrial School, and Miss Areen Salman from the Ministry of Education. The meeting was also attended by project consultants from GIZ.
