The workshop aimed to present and discuss a variety of ideas and proposals that contribute to overcome the intra-Palestinian divide and form a national unity government in Palestine. Moreover, it aimed to foster civil peace, which enhances political partnership and supports the advancement of society by strengthening unity.

The participants participated in a serious and in-depth dialogue on the Palestinian reconciliation and elections, with the aim of finding answers to a number of questions about how to overcome the challenges facing the Palestinian people, how to end the division and achieve national unity in Palestine by elections, how to protect the national project and face the challenges that target it through the Palestinian national unity, and the role of Palestinian youth and researchers in ending the intra-Palestinian divide.

The event included the participation of a number of the Political Science Department's academic staff and students from the University as well as a number of interested researchers, academics and activists.
