On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, Prof. Maher Natsheh, An-Najah University President hosted a delegation from the Palestinian National Security Forces, headed by Colonel Mohammad Salameh, National Security Forces Commander in Nablus .


The meeting aimed to discuss the University's support of National Security Forces officers in terms of pursuing their higher education at the University. It also focused on the University's crucial role in facing the Coronavirus pandemic, as it is part of the Supreme Emergency Committee in Nablus Governorate.

Prof. Natsheh briefed the delegation on the scientific and research progress the University has achieved locally and internationally, and referred to its efforts to develop new programs that meet the local market's need. He stressed on the importance of the University role in serving the Palestinian community. He also paid tribute to the efforts made by the Palestinian National Security Forces in serving citizens and maintaining safety and security in the area.

In turn, Colonel Salameh emphasized on the importance of strengthening the partnership between the University and the National Security Forces in order to serve the Palestinian community and benefit all social categories in different areas. ‎

The delegation also included Colonel Hatem Waked, Director of Public Relations and Media at the National Security Forces, Colonel Khalida Hanani, Director of the Gender Unit in Nablus, Lieutenant Colonel Walid Al-Ahmad, Director of Public Relations and Media in Nablus, First Lieutenant Firas Daoud from the Public Relations Department, First Lieutenant Sujood Adawi, and First Lieutenant Rasha Saleh. In addition, the delegation was received by Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Khayyat, Head of the Public Health Department, and Ms. Yamama Daoud from the Public Relations Department.
