Workshop on Islamic Law and International Humanitarian Law

The Faculty of Islamic Law at An-Najah University in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Awqaf (endowment) of Nablus organized a training workshop on Islamic Law and International Humanitarian Law (IHL).
The training aimed to present an overview of the Red Cross activities in Palestine and abroad and have a clear idea about armed conflicts.
It also aimed to discuss major human rights issues from a religious perspective.
The workshop targeted influencing community members including mosque imams.
The workshop will be over two days and will focus on Red Cross history, fundamental principles of the Red Cross, IHL, and the role of the ICRC in conflict areas.
