Introductory Exhibition on IEEE An-Najah Student Branch
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers of An-Najah National University Student Branch (IEEE) recently organized an exhibition to introduce IEEE mission, vision, initiatives, societies and activities to the university students wishing to join the association.
The exhibition was launched by Mr. Eyad Al-Aqra, Director of Students' Affairs, Dr. Mona Damidi, IEEE Supervisor and Dr. Aladdin Masri from the Department of Computer Engineering at the University.
The exhibition included seven booths through which IEEE societies were introduced to the visitors. These societies included IEEE Industry Applications Society, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) and IEEE Computer Society.
The exhibition also aimed to introduce the students to the initiatives launched by IEEE such as Web Heroes Project. The project aims to teach students web designing using Word Press.
It is worth mentioning that IEEE An-Najah Student Branch organizes different activities in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to get involved with the Palestinian educational institutions. It aims to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.
