An-Najah Signs an MOU with PIEFZA
On Thursday, November 7, 2019, An-Najah National University signed an MOU with the Palestinian Industrial Estate and Free Zone Authority. The contract was signed by Professor Maher Natsheh, President of An-Najah and Dr. Ali Shaath, CEO of PIEFZA.
The agreement aims to reinforce the cooperation between staff in scientific centers and faculties at the University and relevant authorities at the Palestinian Industrial Estate and Free Zone Authority regarding the implementation of technical activities and projects, and the development of studies, surveys, and plans on designing, and managing industrial zones in Palestine.
The MOU aims also at reinforcing sustainable partnership with PIEFZA in terms of developing expertise exchange programs for staff in the fields of planning, designing, and managing industrial zones.
It is worth mentioning that the agreement also included the implementation of the agreed activities of "Planning Industrial Zones in the Middle East and Palestine" cooperation project, which was signed between An-Najah and Southeast University (SEU) in 2017 and is funded by the Chinese Government to carry out a joint research project on planning industrial zones in Palestine.
