The agreement aims to reinforce the cooperation between staff in scientific centers and ‎faculties at the University and relevant authorities at the Palestinian Industrial Estate ‎and Free Zone Authority regarding the implementation of technical activities and ‎projects, and the development of studies, surveys, and plans on designing, and ‎managing industrial zones in Palestine.‎

The MOU aims also at reinforcing sustainable partnership with PIEFZA in terms of ‎developing ‎expertise exchange programs for staff in the fields of planning, designing, ‎and managing ‎industrial zones.‎

It is worth mentioning that the agreement also included the implementation of the ‎agreed activities of "Planning Industrial Zones in the Middle East and Palestine" ‎‎cooperation project, which was signed between An-Najah and Southeast University ‎‎‎(SEU) in 2017 and is funded by the Chinese Government to carry out a joint research ‎‎project on planning industrial zones in Palestine.‎
