Many people from all over the world participated in the competitions. In total 472 registered, which included 391 athletes and 81 administrative delegates, representing 19 different countries.

During the opening ceremony the Head of the Palestinian Olympic Committee Jibril Al-Rajoub welcomed the participants of the tournament. Al-Rajoub expressed his happiness at this sporting event especially with the international presence.  Al-Rajoub also emphasized the importance of spreading such events in different Palestinian cities.

President of An-Najah National University Maher Al-Natsheh, discussed that sports are an important factor for both physical and psychological wellbeing of students. Also, sports contribute to building a healthy mind and body under the crucial circumstances that Palestinians live in.

In addition,   President of World Taekwondo Asia Professor Lee, expressed his happiness for attending Palestine International Championship for Taekwondo, and commended the efforts made by the organizing committee to make this tournament a success.

Lastly the tournament was concluded by honoring the host university, the winning participants, trainers and judges.
