An-Najah's Participation in the Fifth UniGOV Project Meeting
In the framework of the Improving Governance Practices and Palestinian Higher Education Institutions (UniGOV) Project, a delegation from An-Najah National University traveled to the University of Évora, Portugal to participate in the fifth UniGOV Project Meeting from September 2-7, 2019.
The delegation included Dr. Nidal Dwaikat, Deputy President for Planning, Development and Quality Assurance at An-Najah and Dr. Mohammed Najjar, Director of the Project Management Unit of the University.
The visit included a project meeting with the Palestinian universities and the EU partners from Cork University, Ljubljana University, Siena University and UNIMED as well as field visits to a number of administrative and academic departments at the University of Evora.
The meeting focused on discussing the progress of the Project and its activates and results.
UniGOV addresses weaknesses in the existing governance systems across higher education in Palestine. By establishing a comparative study with European benchmark universities, UniGOV aims to establish a common governance framework and promote the adoption of innovative practices to improve university governance in Palestine
