An-Najah's Participation in the Annual Council and Assembly of the Community of Mediterranean Universities
As part of its strategic plan to expand scientific research, international collaboration and expertise exchange, Prof. Maher Natsheh, President of An-Najah University recently participated in the annual Council and Assembly of the Community of Mediterranean Universities (CMU) at the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) on Friday, October 25, 2019 in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The CMU aims to set up permanent links among Mediterranean Universities including reciprocal exchanges of information and cultural and scientific experiences of teaching staff and students.
The CMU Assembly commenced with a workshop that included two presentations given by international specialists and experts about the accreditation of study programs and graduate student mobility in the Mediterranean and Europe. The presentations also focused on developing an internationalization strategy without sacrificing the unique identity.
The meeting also included an overview of the recent and future activities of the CMU as well as the Erasmus + project proposals.
Prof. Natsheh met with the representatives of CMU members and briefed them on An-Najah's history, academic programs, development projects and student exchange as well as scholarship programs to strengthen existing collaboration among Mediterranean Universities whilst fully respecting the different nations, as a means of sharing in experiences, methodologies and the results of research projects.
