Dr. Heba Al-Fares, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at the University, welcomed the attendees and emphasized on the importance of the agricultural cluster plan in promoting regional economy growing, advancing the specialization of agriculture production and increasing the incomes of the farmers, and the agriculture engineers.

Eng. Sameer Samarah, Director General of Tulkarm Agricultural Directorate, introduced the plan of the agricultural clusters for the years 2019-2021 to the attendees. He pointed out that the plan aims to support the agricultural engineers and graduates in Tulkarem. He added that the agricultural clusters plan was launched by the government, and it will contribute to economic development and provide thousands of jobs for citizens in all governorates such as Qalqilya, Tulkarem, Jenin, and Tubas, which are described as “Palestine’s food basket).

The meeting was also attended by Eng. Faisal Shreim, Representative of the Agricultural Engineers Association.
