Contemporary Turkish Politics Three Years after the Military Coup Lecture
On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, the Office of International Development and External Affairs at An-Najah hosted Mr. Aurélien Denizeau, a researcher in history, geopolitics and international relations, holds a doctorate from INALCO in Turkish language, civilization and societies
Mr. Denizeau gave a lecture on the contemporary Turkish politics three years after the military coup in 2016. The meeting was moderated by Dr. Amjad Abu Al-Ezz from the Political Science Department who gave interpretation of the talk and answered the students' questions.
The lecture was also attended by a delegation from the French Institute in Jerusalem, the International Office and a number of university students.
Mr. Denizeau thesis focuses on the strategic doctrine of political Islam in power in Turkey, a country where he regularly resides. His research also focuses on strategic balances in the Middle East and the Caucasus, the history of contemporary Turkey, Turkish-Iranian relations and Turkey's strategy for establishing itself in Africa.
