An-Najah Welcomes Delegates of Ryerson University and the Representative Office of Canada
On 02 July 2019, Dr. Kherieh Rassas, Vice President for International Development and External Affairs (IDEA) at An-Najah University received Dr. Steven Liss, Vice President for Research and Innovation from the University of Ryerson, Canada, and Mr. Ian Anderson, Head of the Political Section of the Canadian Representative Office in Ramallah.
During the visit, the delegation was met by Dr. Mohamad Al-Subu, Deputy President for Planning and Quality Assurance and Dr. Mohammad Najjar, Projects’ Unit Director. Both parties shared their university’s history, achievements and renowned programs including various international accreditations and awards.
Dr. Kherieh also stressed the importance of enhancing mutual cooperation with both the Representative Office of Canada in Ramallah and universities across Canada, building on their expertise and experience in various fields, including women’s rights and gender studies, innovation and entrepreneurship, and human rights and democracy. Dr. Steven expressed that he felt the visit is the start of a fruitful cooperation with promising prospects between both institutions.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation toured the University’s New Campus, including the library and Media Center.
