An-Najah Professor Concludes a Scientific Visit to China
As part of "Planning Industrial Zones in the Middle East and Palestine" cooperation project, which was signed between An-Najah and Southeast University (SEU) in China in 2017 and is funded by the Chinese Government, Dr. Ali Abdul Hameed, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies at An-Najah concluded a scientific visit to Nanjing and Beijing during October 21 – October 26, 2018.
During his visit, Dr. Abul Hammed attended the project's annual meeting which was also attended by An-Najah and SEU representatives, representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Belt and Road Initiative which funds the project as well as a number of Chinese companies that implement industrial cities projects in the Middle East.
The meeting aimed at exhibiting the annual report results and the project's future plans and discussing financing opportunities for industrial planning projects in the Middle East region, including Palestine.
Dr. Abdul Hameed also gave two lectures on urbanization and urban planning in the Middle East and economic growth, industrialization and urban planning in the Middle East.
He also visited an industrial city near Nanjing and the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design in Beijing to learn about its departments and activities and gave a presentation on urban planning in Palestine.
The Academy administration members were pleased to discuss possible means of cooperation with An-Najah.
