Expert Jolanda Stolk from the Netherlands Visits An-Najah's Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine
As part of the Erasmus+ exchange programme, Dr. Maen Samara, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine has recently received Ms. Jolanda Stolk, an expert in poultry from Aeres University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.
During her visit, Ms. Stolk gave a lecture for Animal Production and Veterinary Medicine students and was given a tour of the Faculty's facilities, farms and labs.
She also visited the Ministry of Agriculture Office in Tulkarm and the Palestine Poultry Company (AZIZA) where she gave a brief of the latest developments in livestock studies, especially in the field of poultry and poultry diseases.
Ms. Stolk's visit gave her an idea about the challenges that face livestock sector in Palestine; therefore, she discussed with An-Najah administration possible means of cooperation in terms of expert and student exchange programmes.
