A Delegation from Nuremberg Visits An-Najah
Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah has recently received a delegation from the Nablus Friendship Society in Nuremberg, Germany which has a cooperation agreement with Nablus city to discuss possible means of academic and social cooperation between the Palestinian and German institutions.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Dr. Mohammad Al-Amleh, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Prof. Natsheh briefed the delegation on An-Najah history, programmes and the political and financial challenges that face higher education in Palestine.
After the meeting, the Political Sciences Department organized a lecture titled: "Arab Islamic heritage in Europe" through which Prof. Wolfgang Meyer talked about Arab and Muslims role in developing human and global civilizations, transferring philosophy, astronomy, mathematics, optics and geography to Europe and transferring Asian civilizations to Europe through Andalusia.
