A Delegation from Intel Corporation and Portland Trust Visits An-Najah

On Wednesday, January 24th, 2018, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah received Mr. Anwar Awad, representative of Intel Corporation U.S.A and Mr. Yahya Al-Shunnar, Managing Director of Portland Trust Palestine.
The visit aimed at discussing possible means of mutual cooperation regarding establishing a lab that offers training to An-Najah IT students to learn about the electronic applications of circuit design.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Natsheh briefed the delegation on An-Najah's history, development, students and academic programmes.
He stressed the importance of the partnership An-Najah has with the private sector. He added that the University focuses on practical training and scientific research as it started building innovation and partnership centres since 2013.
In turn, Mr. Awad said that offering practical training to the IT students will contribute to improving their skills and allowing them to compete in the international market.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mohammad Al-Amleh, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Sahli, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and IT, Dr. Sufyan Samara, Head of the Computer Engineering Department, Dr. Raed Al-Qadi from the Computer Engineering Department and Mr. Khaled Mufleh, Acting Director of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah.
