Assigning Engineer Mohammad Dwaikat as An-Najah's Envoy to Nablus Municipality
An-Najah National University has recently assigned Engineer Mohammad Dwaikat, as its envoy to Nablus Municipality.
Dr. Dwaikat is a staff member at An-Najah's Faculty of Engineering and IT and a council member at Nablus Municipality.
On this occasion Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah said that the University works hard to strengthen the relationship with Nablus Municipality to contribute to the city's progress on different levels.
Eng. Adly Yaish, Mayor of Nablus in turn mentioned that the Municipality has trust in An-Najah staff, faculties, centres and students. He added that An-Najah always offers the Municipality consultation services regarding critical issues; therefore, it was essential to link the two bodies and reinforce the cooperation.
Eng. Dwaikat talked about the importance of recruiting An-Najah capabilities to match the Municipality requirements which will serve both bodies and ensure constant communication between them.
As a result, An-Najah and Nablus Municipality are planning to implement joint projects such as the UniverCity programme. The projects will be implemented through a number of university courses including Community Based Learning.
It is worth mentioning that Eng. Dwaikat has earned membership at Nablus Municipality during the 2017 elections.
