On Sunday, September 17th, 2017, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah hosted Mr. Huub L.M. Muude, Lecturer in Institutional Entrepreneurship at Maastricht University and Senior Project Manager at Maastricht School of Management (MSM).


The meeting aimed to discuss possible means of mutual cooperation between An-Najah and Maastricht University in the realms of entrepreneurship projects and developments as an instrument for employability as well as establishing ways to consolidate and develop academic relations between the two parties.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Natsheh briefed Mr. Muude on An-Najah's development, its role and standing in the service of the Palestinian society and the political and financial challenges it always encounters. He also talked about An-Najah's Alumni Unit which tries to qualify the graduates and help them find suitable jobs in the local and international markets.

Prof. Natsheh mentioned that An-Najah adopts technology to enhance the quality of higher ‎education in various fields and achieve the best educational outcomes. He also talked about An-Najah's academic and research achievements specially the ABET accreditation for 9 engineering programmes which provides greater employment opportunities for the university graduates.

He finally thanked Mr. Muude for his support and cooperation and expressed his confidence that this visit will enhance joint cooperation between the two universities in many ways.

Mr. Muude in turn expressed his delight for being at An-Najah and stressed the importance of developing joint cooperation projects between both universities in agriculture and entrepreneurship.

The visit also included a breakout meeting in the Deans' Hall with Mr. Muude to discuss entrepreneurship and agriculture projects.

  • The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Mr. Khaled Mufleh, Acting Director of the Public Relations Department and Ms Noor Hashayka from PR.
  • The breakout meeting was attended by Dr. Maher Abu Zant, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Maan Samara from the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Rani Shahwani from the Continuing Education Unit, the International Office and Dima Bushnaq from the Project Management Unit at An-Najah.
