On Sunday, September 10th, 2017, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah received at his office a delegation from Norway headed by Ms. Anna Songe-Moller.

The delegation included academics from a number of Norwegian universities including University of Stavanger, Østfold University College and University of Bergen as well as representatives from the city of Stavanger and was accompanied with Engineer Naseer Arafat, Director of Nablus Committee Association.


The visit aimed at discussing possible means of mutual cooperation between An-Najah and Stavanger University and encouraging cultural and academic exchange.

Prof. Natsheh welcomed the attendees and briefed them on An-Najah’s history and talked about the obstacles that encounter higher education in Palestine.

He also commended the Norwegian universities’ role in supporting An-Najah at different academic and research levels.

Ms. Moller in turn expressed her delight for being at An-Najah and stressed the importance of the cooperation between both universities.

It is also worth mentioning that the Norwegian delegation will be giving a number of workshops to An-Najah students in music and drama until Tuesday, September 12th, 2017.
