An-Najah's English Debate Team Places First in National Tournament
On Thursday, August 24th, 2017, the American Corner Nablus’s English Debate Team, which represents An-Najah National University, competed in the Al-Quds Bard College Open National Debate Tournament in Abu Dis.
The tournament was organized through the Bard Debate Union and included both American and Russian guest judges with extensive experience in both coaching and debating internationally.
Students Ahmed Ghazi and Hasan Salhi from An-Najah were ranked 1st place followed by second, third and fourth places also going to An-Najah’s team. Al-Quds University team was ranked fifth.
Students Sana’ Aslan and Iman Sarraj came fist in the best debater competition while students Tamara Abdullateef, Nadeen Yousef and Suhaib Sakran took third, fourth and fifth place respectively.
The American Corner Nablus is responsible for An-Najah’s English debate team and has and will continue to train students and recent graduates for national, regional and international debate tournaments.
