The delegation met with Dr. Mohammed Al-Amleh, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Ms Alia Gilbrecht, Coordinator of the American Corner Nablus as well as the American Corner Nablus English debate team for a debate activity.

During the visit Dr. Al-Amleh discussed the importance of creating a space for students to openly discuss important issues from different perspectives and the skills acquired through debate as they pursue professional goals.

Following the meeting was an English debate between members of the English debate team on the topic of artificial intelligence.  At the end of the debate, Mr. Halawani gave feedback to the debaters.

The British Council will be working with the American Corner Nablus' English debate team to develop and expand the training programme in order to compete in national and international debate competitions.
