On Thursday, May 11th, 2017, the International Office's American Corner Nablus held a closing ceremony for the Community Green Engagement project, a green training programme that involved training of over 30 local 7th and 8th grade students from Yaser Arafat Girls School and Ibn Al Haythem Boys School in Nablus. 


The 20 hour training involved educational activities on sustainability concepts related to pollution, global warming, solar panels, recycling and how to convert trash into crafts and art.

The event included the awarding of certificates to the students who completed the programme followed by an exhibition of the completed work.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Alia Assali, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training; Dr. Adnan Melhem, An-Najah’s President’s Assistant of Social Affairs and Dr. Azmi Balawneh, Director of Education in Nablus.
