On Thursday, February 16th, 2017, An-Najah National University hosted a workshop on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) at the Korean Palestinian IT Institute Of Excellence in the New Campus.


The event was organized by AMRA Information Technology, the AMIDEAST, An-Najah’s Public Relations Department and representatives of the Educational Testing Service (ETS Global).

In his opening speech, Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of the tests as English is today’s international communication language.

He also talked about the difficulties that encounter the students when setting for the tests and the tests roles in promoting students’ skills and competencies.

Mr. Radi Aloni, Director-General of AMRA Information Technology gave a presentation on the importance of English language and explained the process of setting for the TOEFL and the TOEIC. He also talked about the tests preparations and gave pieces of advice on how to manage time while setting for the tests.

It is worth mentioning that the Global English Language Tests are an important part of students’ journey to study in an English-speaking country to improve their English-language skills.

The workshop was also attended by Mr. Steven Keller, Director of AMIDEAST in Palestine and Dr. Majdi Dwikat, Vice President Assistant for Academic Affairs, Scientific Faculties at An-Najah as well as a number of the university academics and students.
