Zajel Holds a Seminar on Swiss Citizens’ Ability to Change

The International Youth Exchange Programme (Zajel) of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah organized a seminar on Swiss citizens’ ability to change.
The seminar was given by Ms Leeva Meen, who is a Swiss student at An-Najah Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Institute.
The seminar shed light on the Swiss system that allows citizens to vote on petitions to bring about social change and provide models of the mechanism of decision-making.
The student also gave examples of frequent referendums in Switzerland, which showed a distinctive culture that promotes the citizens’ ability to change.
At the end of the seminar, the student answered the attendees’ questions on the topic.
