The Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Programme at An-Najah has achieved prominent progress since establishment; therefore, the university decided to turn it into an institute to teach Arabic to non-native speakers. Headed by Dr. Raed Abdulraheem, Lecturer at the Arabic Language Department, the institute will receive students from different parts of the world to learn about the Arabic language and the Palestinian culture.

The programme was established in 2011 and aims at increasing exposure to the Arabic language and Arab societies, with particular attention and emphasis on Palestine.  Every programme offered through the Arabic for Non Natives Programme aims at helping learners to develop their Arabic language skills, and understand the various aspects of Arab heritage.

The programme signed a number of agreements with universities in Britain, Japan, Greece and other parts of Europe and held the first Arabic Language Test for Non-Native Speakers in Greece.
