Student Mohammad Ya’aqbeh is a 21 year old accountant graduate and top at An-Najah National University with a GPA of 3.98/4.


Ya’aqbeh graduated from high school with a GPA of 98%, scientific stream. His GPA qualified him to enroll in all programmes offered by AN-Najah, but he chose to study accounting because calculation was his passion since he was a little boy.

Life on Campus

When we asked Ya’aqbeh about his life on campus, he said that he wanted his college life to be a combination of theoretical and practical success. Therefore, he participated in several extracurricular activities and enrolled in the Faculty of honor which introduced him to voluntary work at the Public Relations Department at the university.

Ya’aqbeh was a volunteer at the Youth Exchange Programme (Zajel) for more than two years. He is also a former member in the Tamayaz Programme 2 and the Quality Committee of the Accounting Department at An-Najah.

Ya’aqbeh refers his success to his family as he lived in an environment full of innovation and competition. His father is a teacher and has nine publications on different topics.

Pieces of Advice

When we interviewed Ya’aqbeh, he gave pieces of advice to his colleagues saying that “university life is not an academic life nor it is an entertainment; it is a combination of both; therefore, I advice my colleagues to be involved in extracurricular activities as much as this doesn’t have a negative impact on their academic life.” He added that setting priorities and time management are the keys to success.

Academic Future

Ya’aqbeh is already preparing to his academic future as he is obtaining the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificate and has recently obtained the IELTS. He also aspires to continue his higher education while working.
